On Friday 1st July 2022, Millington Hingley and Inside Justice jointly hosted an exclusive event at the Manchester Art Gallery discussing their work that led to the acquittal of two men who had been convicted of a crime they did not commit.
During the evening, Louise Shorter (founder of Inside Justice), Siobhan Grey KC (lead Counsel), Jo Millington (Forensic Scientist and Trustee of Inside Justice) and the rest of the legal and scientific review team spoke about the investigation, the original trial, the appeal process and the subsequent retrial, and described in detail how they successfully managed to overturn a wrongful murder conviction.
