The team has extensive expertise in crime scene examination and the development of forensic strategy. Our forensic scientists are registered on the NCA Register of Experts.

 

We specialise in the review of crime scene records to identify forensic opportunities and understand the strengths and limitations of crime scene investigation.

Crime Scene Tape

We can help by:

  • Producing 'Advisory Reports' regarding crime scene strategy and management 

  • Putting the crime scene into context with the case circumstances / your client's account

  • Interpreting scientific findings at scenes, including BPA and body fluid evidence, including from photographs, body worn video or digital records

  • Reviewing and providing opinion on crime scene investigation, DNA anti-contamination strategies and accreditation

  • Interpreting bloodstain distribution evidence (BPA) at crime scenes and providing an opinion on the expectations of blood transfer in a case context and in light of accounts that are available

  • Re-visiting the scene to conduct an independent examination of bloodstaining, including luminol application, or reviewing the scene findings from photographs

  • Undertaking a comprehensive review of historical crime scene records and advising on forensic strategy / opportunities
